I found a great use for the iPads.  While giving the DRA and word list tests, I taped the students reading.  I was then able to show parents at conference time.  What a big help!  A picture (video in this case) really is worth a thousand words.  The parent could see and hear what I mean when I say the need to work on fluency.  They see their own child struggling to sound out words and/or reading like a robot with no expression.  Students who are at or above grade level can see how they can improve expression.
